Companies become real companies

A Company learns who it is on the web, reads its own website, gets its own tools — and shows you whether it needs you. Read the post →

  • Health ring on every Company (Website · Library · Connections · Rhythm), attention-first sorting, and pinned Companies in the sidebar with a count of who needs you. Where to find it: Manage → Companies · ☆ Pin · ⌘K → "<Company> health"
  • Connect your company: paste its website and review a proposed profile — contact details, ids, socials, brand colours, logo. Nothing is saved until you click Apply. Where to find it: Company → 🏠 Overview → Connect your company · Company OS → 🎨 Identity
  • Import your website into the Library: a site, sitemap, single page (web, PDF, Office) or RSS feed, refreshed on a schedule; a polite crawler that obeys robots.txt. Where to find it: Company → 📚 Library → 🌐 Sources → Add website
  • Connections per Company: fifteen slots (Shop, Payments, Calendar, CRM…) whose keys and MCP servers only that Company's workers can reach, with status dots and suggested routines. Where to find it: Company OS → 🔌 Connections

  • Security: connector keys sealed at rest, website reads limited to public addresses, other Companies' accounts invisible to a worker, and approval before imports, API calls and social posts. Where to find it: Automatic

A Company stops being a filing cabinet and starts having a day.

  • Calendar: task and goal deadlines, routine and plan runs, lead follow-ups, check-ins and your own meetings in Day, Week and Month views. Overdue items stay on today until done. Where to find it: Company → Run it → 📅 Calendar · Automations → Calendar · ⌘K → "Calendar"

  • Events that repeat, have attendees and an agenda, or run a routine at their time. Times keep their clock hour across daylight-saving changes. Where to find it: ＋ Event on the calendar
  • Rhythm templates (Solo founder, Small team, Agency, Shop) create standups, wrap-ups, Friday reviews and a monthly close in one click, without duplicates on re-apply. Where to find it: Company → Build it → Company OS → 🥁 Rhythm

  • Settings went from 25 tabs to 9 sections with sub-tabs: AI models · Look & voice · Tools & integrations · Channels · Front desk · Other machines · Data · Account · General. Where to find it: ⚙ Settings (bottom of the sidebar)
  • A search box finds any setting by its name or its help text and opens it. Where to find it: ⚙ Settings → search box
  • Show advanced settings hides the rarely-needed pages (Other machines, Front desk, Agents, Hosts, Content packs, Demos, Achievements) until you want them. Where to find it: ⚙ Settings → bottom of the sidebar
  • A ? next to over 200 settings explains what each does, its default and when to change it — with accessible names for screen readers. Where to find it: Any setting
  • The sidebar went from 18 rows to 12: Automations, Activity, Front desk and Machines group related screens under a small tab bar. Old links and shortcuts still work. Where to find it: Sidebar · ⌘K / Ctrl+K

  • Essentials: a five-worker starter crew, a review queue for what they make, and an Academy to learn the ropes.
  • Library as a Drive: folders, stars, recent files and full-text search; save any chat file to the Library.
  • Free mode: start without an API key, on free cloud models with a local fallback.
  • Companies: a health ring, a web profile from your own website, per-Company connections, a calendar and a Today panel.
  • Calendar connections: bring in Google, Apple or Outlook calendars and share a Company calendar.
  • Simpler: Settings in 9 sections with search, a shorter sidebar, and the 7-day trial starts by itself.

  • Licensing moves to our new licence service: your key keeps working, and renewals and devices are managed in one place.
  • Website assistants: put an assistant on your website, fed from your own knowledge, with a clear monthly allowance.
  • Replies stream in word by word, also from OpenAI-compatible providers when you switch it on.
  • One-click permission grants, and switching to a different licence key without reinstalling.
  • Fixes: clicks land where you point on screen, the inbox clears properly, and setup falls back to another AI when one fails.

  • Lead generation runs 24/7: job boards, news, RSS feeds and business directories, with drafts waiting for your OK.
  • Alerts on WhatsApp first, then e-mail, when something on your server needs attention.
  • Companies: a full Operations tab, drag-and-drop tasks, and routines that run in your local time.
  • Safer by default: confirmations that really ask, encrypted channel passwords and sign-in tokens, and tighter checks on files, links and outgoing data.
  • Smoother: dialogs close with Escape and keep keyboard focus, typing with an input method no longer sends early, and long chats stream faster.
  • Builds for Apple Silicon (local models on the GPU via Metal), Intel Macs, and Linux (.deb, .rpm, AppImage).

askTheodor 0.9.284 — your files, your recorded workflows, and a support assistant for your website. Now on Linux too.

  • Linux is here: a .deb for Ubuntu 24.04+, Debian 13 and Mint 22+, and an AppImage for any x86_64 distro with glibc 2.39+.
  • Two Mac builds: Apple Silicon (M1 and newer; local models run on the GPU via Metal) and Intel (local models run on the CPU).
  • Give any chat a folder: workers can list, read, create and change files inside it, and nothing outside it. Your home folder, hidden folders, ~/Library and system folders can't be chosen.
  • Attach anything to a message: text, code, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and images, up to 8 files and 25 MB each. A bar above the message box always shows what the chat can reach.
  • Automate: record yourself doing a task on your Mac, turn the recording into a written procedure, then let a worker run it. It asks for your approval before it clicks or types.
  • Website Assistants: a customer-support assistant on your own server, with your own API key and knowledge base, added to your site with one script tag.
  • Fixes: delegating a task to a server that needs an approval nobody can give now says so plainly instead of a vague "409" and a false "Done"; a kiosk key can now only continue the kiosk's own chats; knowledge-base excerpts with umlauts or Greek letters no longer crash.

  • 10 new one-click connectors: Klaviyo, Customer.io, ActiveCampaign, Kit, beehiiv, Ahrefs, DataForSEO, Webflow, Contentful and Plausible.
  • Refreshed provider model lists: Claude Opus 5, GPT-5.6, Qwen 3.7 and Kimi K3.
  • Fixes: importing a demo now shows its company and workers on every screen without a restart; the floating chat bubble no longer covers the composer; Windows installs bundle the WebView2 runtime, so setup no longer fails on machines without it.
